The KidsLink School, located in Streetsboro, is seeking passionate, innovative, and experienced individuals looking for full-time employment. The KidsLink School is a year round program which services students with behavioral and developmental disabilities and related diagnoses. Special Education Support Staff are expected to work directly with students who have intensive behavioral and/or instructional needs in a 1:1, 1:2, and/or small group setting utilizing the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach academic, social, vocational, and adaptive behavior skills. Individuals in this role work on a modified school calendar (200 school days + 6 mandatory professional development days).

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with students utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Following behavior plans, individualized treatment plans, and reinforcement schedules as defined
  • Collecting accurate frequency, duration, and anecdotal data throughout the day and then analyzing the data daily
  • Creating & modifying teaching and classroom materials
  • Working under and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Licensed Intervention Specialists, and related therapies (SLP, OT, and/or PT) to monitor students’ academic and behavioral progress
  • Implementing the Crisis Prevention Intervention model with fidelity and effectiveness to support treatment

Job Requirements:

  • A High School diploma AND a minimum of one year experience working with children in a therapeutic or school setting
  • Ability to lift and/or physically manage students and adults of varying sizes and weight
  • BCI & FBI Background check
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to work full-time in alignment with our school calendar

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to participate in physical interventions, when necessary, and with fidelity to the methods taught through the Crisis Prevention Intervention model. Physical interventions are low in frequency but may require intense physical exertion. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: kneeling, possibly for extended periods of time on hard surfaces, bending, twisting, and holding.
  • Ability to move around the classroom/community and sit and stand for more than an hour at a time.

Salary: $26,000/year, with a performanced-based raise at 90 days.
